Course description

This course will introduce students to problem solving using scientific computing and advanced numerical methods, in environments such as Matlab, or building on software libraries available in C or Fortran. This course contains a large hands-on component (practicals and project) and provides a link with real-world applications, spanning biology, chemistry and physics. Topics such as scientific visualisation, high performance computing and grid computing will be introduced. Suitable for students in any scientific or engineering discipline.
