Course description

This course focuses on A2 level (Basic User) on CEFR language proficiency scale, especially on developing literacy skills (reading and writing) of Korean language up to B1 level (Independent User). It introduces real life situations in the Korean context and provides intercultural communication skills through the study of adapted and authentic texts. This course introduces students to a range of new language elements through various topics and real-life language situations in the Korean context. Some of the topics are also discussed in cross-cultural comparison with Australia when applicable. This course is also designed to improve primarily students' literacy skills while maintaining balance in the development of listening, reading, writing, and cultural competence, up to B1 (Independent User) level.
