Course description
WILL BE OFFERED FOR THE FINAL TIME IN 2010
Students requiring this course for the Bachelor of Human Services should enrol in SWSP2288. Draws on foundational studies in the human services to provide an introduction to professional practice in community settings. Students will be introduced to the concept of community and community capacity; different approaches to working with communities; practice frameworks for working with communities; practice skills in community engagement; and the implications of organisational context for community work.
