Course description

This first-year History "Gateway" course examines the medieval and early modern world through the lens of the plague. Through a rich variety of contemporary sources and critical (in-class) discussions, it explores the fundamental social, political, religious, and cultural experiences of these respective periods, with a view to developing and enriching students' understanding of historical methods and practice along the way.
