Course description

This interdisciplinary course aims to engage students with current debates in women's studies around the complexities of identify, ethnicity and race and the issues these raise in the context of gender research. Central to this course is discussion of the multiple ways in which identity and gender interact and impact upon research methodologies, processes and results. Of particular interest in this course are issues of Indigeneity and whiteness and the course includes in-depth reflection on the politics of race, relationships and representation in gender research.
