(offered in semester 1 in odd years only) Plate tectonics & plume tectonics; tectonics associated with zones/boundaries of extension, contraction & shearing; mountain-building processes & mountain belts; mantle conversion & its consequences on the formation & evolution of Earth's lithosphere & crust.
