Course description
This course critically examines content knowledge, pedagogy and assessment tools pertinent to the teaching of English as a discipline. The course is designed to explore indepth the language, literature and literacy strands of English curricula, along with the possibilities of integrated and innovative practices that offer intellectually challenging experiences and address diverse needs and interests of learners. Students will critically engage with key concepts of the teaching of English as a discipline, as informed by historical and contemporary thinking across different theoretical paradigms.
