Underground structures are an important element of urban infrastructure, ranging from flood storage to urban transport, retail spaces to public places. This course will cover the planning, design, construction and operational aspects of underground projects. Students will obtain knowledge about planning, the socio-economic benefits for society, geotechnical investigations, preliminary and detailed design, and construction of underground assets.
