Course description
Overview of topical issues in biotechnology: Scientific basis & principles of biotechnology. Technical & non-technical issues in biotechnology products. Intellectual property basics. QA/QC regulatory compliance. Social, ethical & economic considerations & their impact on research & marketing. Currently debated issues in biotechnology & familiarisation with sources of this information.
