Course description
Overview of topical issues in biotechnology: Scientific principles of biotechnology. Technical and non-technical issues in biotechnology products. Intellectual property basics. QA/QC, regulatory compliance. Social, ethical and economic considerations and their impact on research and marketing. Currently debated issues in biotechnology. Information acquisition and management in biotechnology and familiarization with sources of this information.
