Course description
A comprehensive understanding of animal reproductive biology covering topics such as embryology, puberty, factors affecting oestrous cycle activity, oestrus detection, oestrus synchronization, embryo transfer, IVP, semen collection and evaluation, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, reproductive pathology, gamete and embryo cryopreservation, semen sexing and stem cells, contraceptive technology, reproductive toxicology and selected reproductive biology of aquacultural species, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals (feline, canine, equine, rodent, bat, dolphin, camel and humans). Practical training in skills associated with setting up a goat oestrus synchronisation program.
