Course description
Roman Imperial History from Augustus to the Antonine Emperors. Topics covered include court politics, emperor worship, imperial administration & society and culture. Students will examine both literary texts (translated into English from the original Latin and Greek) and non literary sources (translated inscriptions & coins, and where relevant, art and architecture). This course may not run if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
