Course description
The course addresses a most pertinent challenge of humankind: how to feed 12 billion people and maintain the integrity and function of our planet. The course confronts participants as consumers and facilitates understanding of the multidimensional aspects of food. Course participants will receive guidance for personal choices in food consumption. They explore current and new foods and food production systems in local and global contexts. The course aims to inspire participants to discover challenges for their future professional life. Small-group mentoring, critical evaluation of information, and integration into world-class research facilitate the transition into tertiary studies and deliver an authentic learning experience.
