1. Ceremony dates and times

We're excited to announce our graduation ceremonies will be held in July 2023 at the St Lucia campus.

Eligible students will receive an email from 24 May 2023 confirming their July ceremony details.

As of 1 January 2023, all graduating students will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to graduate and receive their award, in addition to the successful completion of academic requirements. Some offshore students may be exempt from providing a USI and will need to provide a USI Exemption to the University by the due date.

Your eligibility to graduate and receive your award is provisional on the following requirements:

  1. The completion of all academic requirements of your program
  2. The submission of a USI that can be verified by the University, OR, the submission of a USI Exemption to the University.

If you are unsure, please complete the USI Quiz

For more information about providing your USI, please visit the USI website

UQ will endeavour to adhere to the scheduled dates, times and venues, however, if ceremonies are rescheduled, delayed or relocated, UQ is not responsible for any inconvenience or costs that may be incurred.

  1. The completion of all academic requirements of your program
  2. The submission of a USI that can be verified by the University, OR, the submission of a USI Exemption to the University.

You have the option of attending one of the two ceremony periods immediately after your original graduation date. You can nominate a later graduation period on your Conditional Graduation Application (CGA) form.

If you choose a later ceremony, check your student email for your invitation closer to the date.

If you are representing and have nominated in a previous CGA that you wish to attend a ceremony in July 2023, you will receive further communication to your student email from 24 May 2023.
