5. Certified documents from UQ

Current or past students can request certified documents from UQ to provide evidence for government agencies, professional bodies and other organisations.

You can use these documents to provide:

  • proof of enrolment
  • confirmation you've completed your program
  • support for visa applications for family and friends
  • confirmation you've submitted your HDR thesis.

Certified documents are free and are provided electronically through My eQuals.

Log in with your student account to submit a request. When your documents are ready, we’ll email a link to your student address so you can access them through My eQuals.

What you can request 

You can select from standard document types for common situations, or request a customised document.

Proof of enrolment

Request an Enrolment Statement if you need to provide proof of current or past enrolment.

You can request specific types of enrolment statement to:

  • confirm your semester address
  • respond to a jury duty notice
  • support a request for extra funds from a sponsor
  • provide evidence of UQ's accreditation.

Confirmation you've completed your program

Request a Completion Statement if you need confirmation that you've completed the requirements of your program or qualification.

You can request this statement after grades are finalised in the last study period of your program.

Support for visa applications for family and friends

Current students can request an Invitation Statement to support visa applications for family or friends to join them in Australia, including to attend their graduation ceremony.

Confirmation you've submitted your HDR thesis

Higher Degree Research students can request a Thesis Statement to confirm they have:

  • submitted their thesis and are waiting for results, or
  • received their thesis examination results and are required to make changes.

Customised documents

If the standard documents don't provide the evidence you need, you can select Other to request a customised document.

These requests are only approved in exceptional circumstances. You'll need to provide a reason for your request and list the details you would like added to the document.
